The National Museum of the United States Air Force held a "mini drone competition"

On Saturday afternoon, the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force held its second annual miniature drone competition. Visitors can see 20 registered micro-UAV pilots driving their drones through the C-124 and F-82 planes above, below, around and in the middle. The pilots had a series of two-minute preliminaries, each with four drones, and the audience could watch the race along the track in the second building of the museum, or watch the UAV's view in the race through a large screen. Visitors can also experience flying drones in two designated areas through computer simulators. Kyle Stanley (Kele Stanley), the organizer of the event, said the goal was to show people the future direction of drone flight. "Technology is improving almost every day, and we have the opportunity to compete in such a unique environment to demonstrate the ability of the technology we are using, which is really great ," Stanley said. Stanley said next year's plan is to hold a two-day event and attract national pilots and talent.
