2021 Nordic drone program

2021 Nordic drone program

The Nordic UAV program aims to form a collaborative innovation platform to attract stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of UAV-based mobile solutions. Nordic countries work together to study the effective use of airspace and accelerate the introduction of UAV-based solutions to promote future mobility. The Nordic UAV Initiative (NDI) project, coordinated by the Swedish RISE Institute, aims to form an open collaborative innovation platform to attract relevant stakeholders to work together to achieve sustainable, safe, energy-efficient and low-carbon mobility. Nordic countries are leading sustainable air traffic and connectivity. nordic innovation also co-financed the nordic electric aviation (NEA) project, which is a joint innovation in mobility in the future, and electric aviation is the focus of the NEA, while drones are the key low-altitude airspace for utilization. U space transport, such as electric drones for passenger and cargo transport, represents one of the emerging and promising solutions that can provide a cleaner, more efficient and more flexible mode of transport. By combining with ground transportation and flight transportation, UAV-based transportation fills the gap in utilization and helps to maximize the use of airspace. NDI focuses on key areas of UAV-based mobile solutions and aims to identify the most relevant use cases in the Nordic environment to maximize sustainability and business potential, thus combining application requirements, technology maturity, Business potential and complementary capabilities are combined. Relevant stakeholders, collaborative innovation on technology, policies and standards to achieve cross-border cargo transport and passenger transport for drones, and the creation of a knowledge base and digital platform to integrate Nordic capabilities, To speed up the introduction of UAV-based travel services. Led by the Swedish RISE Institute, consisting of 16 partners from four Nordic countries, Among these partners are RISE,: Katla Aero, Flypulse, Kista science city, Mainbase, Ostergotland regions of LFV and Sweden. VTT, Bell Rock consultant, Robotics, Tampere; from Finland NORCE, from Norway Nordic Edge, Drone Nord and UAS Norway; Gate21. from Denmark The reference group for the project also included Avinor from Norway and ANS. from Finland The project is an open platform, Always welcome the new partners on board to innovate together. Now, It has participated in the Icelandic Innovation Centre from Iceland, the fifth Nordic country. Background The Nordic UAV Project was co-financed through the Second Nordic Call for Intelligent Mobility and Connectivity, The proposal sought proposals under the Nordic Intelligent Mobility and Connectivity Plan. The plan aims to create opportunities for Nordic companies, To help develop sustainability in the Nordic region, more interconnected transportation systems. The plan is part of the Nordic innovation effort, In order to realize the Nordic Prime Minister's wish to become the most sustainable and integrated region in the world by 2030
